Where no man has gone before...

On the 12th of July five friends are heading to a remote area in the Kyrgyz Tien Shan mountains on a BMC sponsored expedition. Their objective...?

...To go where no man has gone before (literally) as they attempt the ascent of unclimbed summits and routes in the region!

They will be in Kyrgyzstan for almost a month, during which they plan to acclimatise and get warmed up in the Ala Archa National Park before heading to the Torugart range with the objective of climbing previously unclimbed routes and summits as well as exploring the valleys and peaks further to the West of Mustyr Gorge.

The team who are all about to graduate from the University,  consists of Daniel Keller, Thomas Nunns, Nicolas Weir, Sam Ring and Alasdair Anderson. The planning is already complete apart from sourcing some remaining gear. They've decided that Water-to-Go filtration bottles are the perfect climbing buddy and have all added one to their kit! The team will be putting their filtered water bottles through their paces while camping in a remote, high altitude locations for three weeks where their main water source will be glacial melt water!

The trip has created a lot of buzz so far, so much so that The British Mountaineering Council’s (BMC) have backed them and are lending the team their support and have given a grant to help with the expedition.
